• This is your family tree on the Palenski=Purdom side as I have it recorded in MyHeritage. Your grandparents married in Palmerston North on 6th August 1938.
• Paddy Palenski (b.1874) was aged two when he arrived in Wellington on the Fritz Reuter - the last Vogel Scheme immigrant ship - arrived in 1876 from Germany.
• You have a (part?) sibling Shane Jonathan Palenski, it seems?
• Your grandmother Olga had three (nee Purdom) sisters all of which I knew: Gwen Davie, Daphne Reckin, Gwen Palenski and Marion Karipa.
• Gwen Davie had four children (your mum's first cousins). The youngest of these is Charlie who turned 80 on 12 May 2025. I attended his 8oth birthday celebration in Christchurch.
• Marion Karipa (pictured below), the youngest of your mum's great aunties, married a maori man - Arthur Karipa. I recently met their eldest daughter Valerie Moyle who lives in Matamata.
